[1] Singh ke janam Macuata, Vanua Levu me bhais rahaa. Teacher training ke baad uu Kadavu aur Nausori me parrhais. Nausori me parhae ke time uu University of the South Pacific se Certificate in Non Formal Education ,ek external student ban ke, karis.

1980 me uu FTU ke Rewa branch ke secretary banaa aur 1984 me iske pardhaan. 1987 me uu NAtional executive ke branch rep banaa aur 1992 me, assistant general secretary. 1999 me uu general secretary of the FTU banaa.

May 2006 ke election me uske Fiji Labour Party ke ticket pe Macuata East Open Constituency se chuna gais rahaa lekin 5 December 2006 ke military coup ke baad uu fir se trade union me laut gais. [2]

14 April 2007 ke, Singh ke fir se Fiji Teachers Union ke General Secretrary chuna gais. [3]
