Fiji ke House of Representatives me uu Tailevu Rewa Indian Communal Constituency se 1999 ke election, 2001 ke election aur 2006 ke election me chuna gais rahaa.

19 May 2000 me, Nand uu 43 People's Coalition Government ke member me se ek rahaa jiske George Speight aur uske rebel Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) soldiers from the Counter Revolutionary Warfare Unit hostage banae liis rahaa. Uske 21 May 2000 ke chhorra gais rahaa jab ki uu ek kaagaj pe sign kar ke Parliament se resign kar diis rahaa.[1]

2003 me, Nand ke Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase, Minister for Drainage and Flood Protection & Management ke post offer karis rahaa, lekin FLP ii offer ke nai liis.[2]

2006 ke election jiite ke baad, uske Minister for Employment Opportunities and Productivity banawa gais rahaa. FLP ke Cabinet member logan ke leader, Mahendra Chaudhry, 2006 budget ke virod me vote kare ke batawa gais rahaa aur Nand tiin sur saaathi ke saathe budget ke virod me vote karis. Ii chaar FLP ke Cabinet member ke Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase resign hoe ke batais, lekin 2006 coup hoe gais iske baare me kuchh kare se pahile.[3]

Uu pahile ek teacher rahaa.

2014 ke election me uu NFP ke bagal se kharraa hoe hae. [4]
