Uu baad me (NFP) ke member ban gais aur 1987 ke election me House of Representatives me Suva National Constituency se National Federation Party - Fiji Labour Party coalition ke bagal se chuna gias rahaa. Uu Bavadra ke sarkar me Minister for Trade, Industry aur Tourism rahaa.[2]
1992 ke general election ke time uu FLP ke general secretary rahaa.[3]
2001 ke coup ke baad, Mahendra Chaudhry Maharaj ke FLP ke dicide kare ke accuse karis aur uu party se nikal gais.[4]
